Stage 2: The Mailing

Hope the burning went well. The mailing is next. Let me know if you did not receive the addresses. But before you do that, make sure you have checked all of your email accounts. Try to get the discs out by Saturday!  ¶ 6:39 PM :

None of you jerks must be from Minnesota, because the voter turnout for this little election sucked. Those that did vote, however, voted for one big group, so that's what we are going to have. If you think you will have difficulty making 14 copies of your disc, please get ahold of me, preferably sooner rather than later. We can figure out something.

  Let the burning begin!

All right, for those of you who are new to this, here is how the swap works:

You (the burner) make a mix disc full of tunes that you want to share with others, then you make copies of that disc and mail them out to the other swappers. Well, that's the general idea, though there are a couple of other steps to it.

1. We need to decide if we want to do one group of 15, or three groups of five. If we do one group, you have to mail out 14 discs, but you get 14 discs in the mail. If we do three groups, you only mail out four, but only get four. I propose a vote: email me over at TractorInc -a to the t- gmail.com with you opinion. Make the email header "Swap Vote", so I don't miss it. Voting to be end by midnight Tuesday of next week. I will announce the group(s) on Wednesday.

2. You all need to send me your addresses so I can eventually distribute them to the other group members. Same email as above, please make the subject "Swap Address". Thank you.

3. Figure out what you want on your disc and start to make it.

4. You can't take forever to make the disc, the deadline for mailing them all out is Midnight, February 28th. Last time, everyone got theirs out just fine, and I hope to see a repeat this time.

Right now, though, note that the deadline for committing to the swap is the end of the month. If you aren't in by Midnight Jan 31st, you're not in at all.  ¶ 11:39 AM :

Take a second to post your playlists here when you get them made up. Also, because there is such a large group, don't worry if you have the same artist or song as someone else. It's no big deal. You can still be our friend.  ¶ 8:19 AM :

We are doing one big group. If someone is short of cash or discs, or anything else, let me know and I will help you out... seeing as this whole thing was my idea and all.
